After a morning full of last minute crises and hold-ups, one of which was caused by the bride changing her mind three times about which wedding dress to wear. Alfie Geeson, and Kathryn Yarrington stand under the wedding arch, before their guests, prepared for the wedding ceremony, which was conducted in a wonderfully efficient and caring manner by Pat Looper, minister at the nearby Hopewell Methodist Church.  During the ceremony Ernest Yearwood sang the beautiful song The Rose, and Laura Meeks,  joined by the pianist, sang a wonderful rendition of The Prayer. The wedding was held at the Country Club in Milledgeville Georgia. This second picture is of the full wedding party, including flower girls Georgianna Blizzard and Gracyn Walker, page boy Skylar Walker, bridesmaids Dianne Pekar, Anna Hammerschmidt and Julie Lambert, best man Dave Oddie,  and of course, Kathy the bride and Alfie the groom.

It's over now, the time for nerves is behind them. The ceremony is finished and the newly married couple can begin to enjoy the reception with the hundreds of guests who attended. They stand in the place they were wed, looking down on a room full of happy smiling faces.

A Photo of Alfie and Kathy with Kathy's Aunt Alice and Uncle Walter. Walter, a retired Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force, who has not been enjoying the best of health,  gave Kathy away while wearing full ceremonial uniform.
