Alfie  and Kathryn Geeson, now man and wife, relax with a couple of glasses of  champagne punch.  The guests enjoyed a meal, followed by beer, champagne punch and wine. For their entertainment Glenn Watkins played a selection of  music, including country and popular standards.

On the left,  best man and close friend Dave Oddie, enjoys a dance with his wife Pauline, and on the right of the picture, Kathy's brother in law Charlie Wood, dances with her friend Pam Panse.

Love is in the air -  Kathy's son in law Arthur Blizzard takes advantage of the moment to get a little romantic with his wife, young Kathryn, and steals a kiss. Looks as though she is reciprocating, too.

This is a lovely picture of Kathy's Aunt and Uncle,  Alice and Walter Haff  enjoying the dance. Walter proved to be very popular among the ladies and was called upon to dance with them many times, he seemed to be having a great time! I guess the uniform and his military bearing were a part of the attraction.

Now we get to the removal of the garter. Kathy giggles while Alfie reaches under her skirts to search for it. He sure seemed to take his time finding it, but finally came up for air and threw it over his shoulder.

Kathy and Alfie turn to see where the garter landed, who was going to be the lucky guy who caught it? Turned out to be Uncle Walter, who then took his time about placing it on one of  Peggy Benson's thighs.

From the left we have Julie Lambert, John Kingan and Pauline Oddie, listening to the entertainer Glenn Watkins playing up a storm on his country fiddle. Glenn provided great entertainment all night, and was rewarded with lots of bookings for other occasions.
